"Mastering Marketing: The 23rd Session of Xingyi Lecture Series"

Release time:2022-04-07

On the morning of April 2, 2022, Xingyi Lecture Hall welcomed Professor Hu Wenfei, General Manager of Wuhan Jiayuan Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. and Visiting Professor at the School of Resources and Environment, Central South University of Nationalities, marking the first lecture of Xingyi in the Year of the Tiger.

During this lecture, Professor Hu Wenfei shared insights and experiences drawn from his own entrepreneurial journey and marketing career, covering key principles of marketing as well as practical methods and techniques. He guided participants through the process—from understanding marketing and gaining an appreciation for it, to mastering the art of effective marketing—using real-world case studies to illustrate fundamental theories and perspectives. His presentation was both lively and humorous, creating an engaging, thought-provoking atmosphere where attendees consistently walked away with valuable takeaways.

Professor Hu Wenfei believes that effective marketing involves three key steps. First, learn to market yourself: Start by building self-confidence—truly understanding who you are—so you can confidently connect with and influence others. Second, enhance your personal influence: Expand your network by cultivating relationships across various industries, positioning yourself as someone indispensable and valuable to others. Finally, boost your ability to take action: After all, it’s people’s actions—not just strategies—that drive results, and those actions are ultimately shaped by their mindset. In this sense, marketers should focus less on being idealists and more on becoming doers.

Professor Hu Wenfei, focusing on the topic of "Becoming a Marketing Expert," shared insights into mastering the fundamentals of effective marketing—covering everything from delivering compelling presentations to cultivating strong interpersonal skills and honing practical execution. He encouraged everyone to read widely and prioritize quality books as a way to deepen their knowledge and transform it into actionable expertise. Additionally, he urged continuous learning and self-improvement, emphasizing the importance of consistently sharing your ideas and value with others. Professor Hu also highlighted that writing stands above speaking as a more powerful tool for self-expression, even using his own experiences to inspire attendees to let their words become their authentic voice. We believe Professor Hu’s lecture will leave a lasting impact on all who attend.

This lecture not only enhanced everyone's marketing expertise but also strengthened their awareness of marketing responsibilities, while also providing marketers with fresh new perspectives.
