On the morning of May 18, 2024, the 27th session of the Xingyi Lecture Series kicked off. Lawyer Liu Hu, a partner at Beijing Dacheng (Wuhan) Law Firm, delivered an engaging presentation on the topic of "Construction Project Construction Contract Disputes."
Attorney Liu first provided a comprehensive overview of the concept and classification of construction project contract disputes, as well as the adjustments and changes to construction contracts under the Civil Code. He then delved into "Key Issues Throughout the Entire Process of Construction Project Construction Contracts," using numerous real-life examples to bridge theory with practice. By analyzing specific cases, he clarified legal principles, highlighted seven scenarios in which a contract may be deemed invalid, and shared insights into common legal disputes, such as compensation for losses caused by project delays. These vivid, practical examples were relatable and easy to understand, offering valuable lessons and effective guidance for bidding, contract negotiation, and contract fulfillment in business operations.
During the Q&A session, attendees enthusiastically shared the legal challenges they’ve encountered in their business activities, and Attorney Liu provided thoughtful, expert answers to each question. This interactive "ask-and-answer" format truly ignited the highlight of the workshop.
